The sky was interspersed with clouds. Once there were cirrus’s, sometimes they were cumulus clouds, but there were also windows between them to try to take a test the new equipment and photograph something. The tests were successful, but the atmosphere was waving. Moon on top.

AutoStakkert – Stacking of Moon light frames

At first impression, the AutoStakkert user interface does not seem easy to use. However, after getting to know the key options and understanding how the program works, its interface not more to be a secret. We will go through the stacking procedure, processing sample of Moon light frames, which I collected in the early spring of this year.

PIPP – Moon – Processing of movie

Usage of the PIPP program is relatively simple. It is recommended to follow the step rules – from left to right, going through all the tabs of the program, starting from the Source Files tab and ending with the Do Processing tab. We will go successively through the tabs, processing the Moon with an example light frames that I collected with my telescope. I will focus only on those options that I need to use. It is not my goal, to describe every available option, that’s why the manual is available on the PIPP page.

Moon – first quarter

My first moon photo. It took me a long time to take a photo with moon, but somehow I couldn’t get together in myself with this topic. When I collected the light frames and movie, I delayed again myself to get to work with it. Maybe the reason was that to take photos of the sun, moon or planets is a totally new topic for me. Finally I took together in myself, sat down my ass on chair and the fun with hard work has began. During my struggles with the AutoStakkert program and photo processing, some additional were created, let’s call it …. never mind for now. When it’s ready, you’ll find out.
