M13 – Cluster of Hercules

M13 – Cluster of Hercules – Brightness is 5.8 Magnitude. The cluster’s diameter is 145 light years! The distance from the ground is 25.1 thousand light years.

M13 – Gromada w Herkulesie

Arctur – Fourth in terms of brightness, the star of the night sky

The brightest in the constellation of a volley. Red giant class of stars. The distance between our Sun and Arctur is 36.72 light years.

Cygnus 17 – The double system of stars of the night sky in the constellation of the swan.

Cygnus 17 – the right upper magnification – Brightness is 5 Mag., The double system of stars of the night sky in the constellation of the swan. You can observe this pair of stars from the suburban sky. However, to comfortable observe the double system, a telescope will be needed. The distance between our Sun and Cygnus 17 is 68.2 light years.

HIP 97307 – lower left magnification – HIP97307 is the star reference name in the Hipparcos Star Catalogue. The double system is not a direct part of the swan constellation, but is within the constellation of the swan. Brightness is 6.18 Mag. Based on the spectral type (K2), the color of the star is in the range between orange and red. You can see it with an unarmed eye, but to comfortable observe the dual system you should use a telescope. The distance between our Sun and HIP 97307 is 366,9 light years.

Cygnus 17
Cygnus 17 – the right upper magnification – Brightness is 5 Mag., The double system of stars of the night sky in the constellation of the swan.

Altair (Alfa Aquilae)

Altair (Alfa Aquilae) – It is on twelfth position in terms of brightness, on the night sky. The brightest in the constellation of the Eagle. The distance between our Sun and Altair is 16.7 light years. Moves one degree in the sky in about 5000 years.
